Throughout their years of pastoral ministry, Tim and Nancy Reside have been known for their overcomer lifestyle message of hope. Tim is appreciated as an inspiring motivational speaker. Nancy is respected for her practical wisdom and much loved for her sensitive compassion. Today they are also known for the ways in which they provide practical support to those who personally live with mental health concerns.

In 1979, Tim suffered a mental health break due to Bipolar Disorder. Tim and Nancy vividly recall the shock of the nightmare that painfully upended their dreams. They remember wondering if anyone knew and if anyone cared. While Tim continues to struggle with this chronic mental health challenge, he does so successfully with the help of his support team.

Tim has come to believe that through grace, and with the encouraging help of others, courage and strength can be found for the purpose of transforming pain. His motivational messages inspire listeners to consider making the choice to live bigger than their struggles and to discover that God’s wholeness and blessings can be found even in brokenness.

In 2001, Tim and Nancy left their church work to join Bright Tomorrows. They joined, not as clinicians, but as pastors motivated by a vision to come alongside those with mental health concerns in order to offer help and hope for healing-recovery and wellness.

In 2009, recognizing a true marriage between Tim and Nancy’s calling and the Bright Tomorrows visionary mission, the BT Board encouraged them to take the leadership role and boldly advance Bright Tomorrows as both an organization and as the vehicle of their personal work and ministry. At that time, Tim was installed as the organization’s President and Nancy as its Secretary-Treasurer.

Married since 1971, Tim and Nancy have an inspiring and motivating story to share. It is one that they live, and in the telling, bring to others insights born of experience. They are available for scheduling and happy to share with groups of any size or in any setting. They make no formal charge but they do invite a freewill offering.

COST: Tim and Nancy are supported by the freewill tax-deductible donations of those who benefit and/or appreciate their work and ministry services offered under the auspices of Bright Tomorrows. In addition to donations given in person, by way of freewill offerings or by way of postal service, donations can be made online via the Bright Tomorrows website.
